![]() ![]() ESP/Radar users are why we see the guys selling 70 pack ledx's. ESP/Radar players have a massively unfair advantage that can either take fights massively advantaged since they know where you are and where you are aiming, or completely avoid players and b-line towards high tier loot (ledx, GPUs, etc.). I'm just pointing out that cheating has been an issue in a lot of big PC games. I'm not excusing the fact that cheating is a problem. If you're a solo player and aren't into super punishing games with a steep learning curve then maybe someone will have a good game suggestion for you in the thread. I've found no other game that causes the same level of fun and excitement. My advice? If you have a group of people to play with that are fun to be around and want to learn the game then it will be a lot of fun. A lot of times people will make noise (gunshots or character noise like footsteps) that make it easy for people with a lot of game knowledge to find and kill you. Unfortunately Tarkov is extremely unforgiving and there are a lot of weird mechanics and netcode issues that sometimes leave people wondering and there is no replay system to show people why they might have died. If you let the possibility of dying to someone who has radar live rent free in your head then its going to make you miserable (see this sub). There are more examples I just can't find them, but you will occasionally see it happen on this sub with someone calling cheats, posting the video, and getting roasted because the dude wasn't cheating.I also feel like FPS players are really fast to call cheats just because they've died. Warzone had a massive problem with this, Rainbow 6 siege has had issues with it, CSGO had issues with it. That's just the reality of online PC games. Most major online PC games have people cheating. It does however mean there will be some people in your raid that have an advantage because they can see what loot spawned where and where everyone is. ![]() While this sucks, it doesn't make the game unplayable. In reality we just got lucky.Ĭheaters are absolutely in the game, but the majority of it is probably ESP or radars, not aim bots and god mode. I also know my group has killed people and immediately were like, that guy probably thought we were cheating. The number of times I've been absolutely certain someone was cheating is probably under 20. I have over 2k hours and the number of times I've seen people flying is probably twice. This subreddit is honestly the worst place to get a feel of the game and I honestly think the death of the game won't be the game, but this negative cesspool of a subreddit. A feature I'd love to get passed over to Tarkov. Also, you will quickly see real life crows differently after this game. Wildlife is to eat, shoot, trap, wolves, bears and possibly moose are dangers. Wind, temp, fog, getting wet, bad clothing is environmental dangers along with thin ice. Second highest difficulty made it a challenge for me, I have never in a game sat in a cabin, get a fire in the stove and thought "this is cozy". The game is permadeath, you only save when you sleep. Before proper sandbox modes came I just always spawned in Mystery Lake and decided to try to visit all areas, survive and master the world. I recommend sandbox, not story mode, do that later perhaps. No pvp, just you against the elements and wildlife in Canada after some event. So: After all the stalker etc has been mentioned, I'd recommend The Long Dark. That's what I love about Tarkov, finding an item can drastically alter your shitty plans and end up as a dramatic escape plan that needs to be decided right then and there. This is a very fringe recommendation if you are about atmosphere and realize you love the survival part/navigational/planning part of being deep in a "mission" of sorts.
